Libri: Press Releases
PRESS RELEASE
April 2008Libri: International Journal of Libraries and Information Services is committed to bringing new information and ideas to our readers as quickly as possible. Our streamlined review process results in quicker responses from our referees to ensure that we get papers into print quickly. The search for excellent articles on timely topics is always our most pressing concern. In particular, we are interested in topics that address digital libraries and the technologies that support them. But timely topics are always welcome at any time. Our fast-track refereeing and publishing process can turn manuscripts around in a matter of a few weeks. Of course, Libri is well known for its review articles on the library and information programmes of different countries, particularly in the developing world, and we always enjoy receiving those articles.
We are immediately seeking articles for the March, June, September and December 2009 issues.
In particular, the editors are looking for the following types of articles:
1) 5,000-7,000 word articles treating subjects of importance to all libraries or reporting developments in one country that have regional or international significance;
2) articles and reports in lengths from 2,000-10,000 words reporting on new research efforts - especially research projects that are near the start of the project; and
3) 5,000-7,000 word overviews of aspects of library services in particular countries, especially for countries outside the developed world.
Prospective authors are encouraged to contact Libri as soon as possible at libri@degruyter.de to express their interests and to obtain author guidelines.
